The Application Process
Applications for the Governor’s Innovation Fellowship cohort will be reviewed by a panel of Connecticut-based business leaders & executives, who will select the pool of second round candidates. In recognition of the impact of the pandemic, graduates from both the Class of 2020 and 2021 are both eligible.
In the Second Round, candidates will be invited to a private job board where private-sector positions within Connecticut-based companies have been created exclusive for GIF Fellows to apply to.
Positions can be obtained in one of two ways: Interview with one of the partner companies on the Fellowship job board, or submit the description for a position in Connecticut which you have already accepted. If you and the job meet all the requirements of the Fellowship, then you can be accepted as a Fellow.
After accepting a job offer from a partner company and starting your new role by July 1, 2022, you will be named as a Fellow and receive all of the benefits associated with that distinction.
