New! Community Advantage Recovery Loans: The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is offering a new financial assistance loan expressly for existing small and start-up businesses in underserved areas through the Community Investment Corporation in Connecticut. This loan program offers financial and technical assistance to help small businesses adapt to changing business conditions in the COVID-19 environment and strengthen their ability to manage through potential future disruptions. Federal Resources for Small Businesses During the Crisis: The U.S. Government recently posted a comprehensive list of resources available to small businesses during the COVID-19 crisis, including capital access (funding and loans), workplace safety, government contracting, cybersecurity and more. Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and Economic Injury Disaster Loans and Grants (EIDL): The federal government window for accepting applications for business assistance funding through the PPP and EIDL programs closed on August 8th. However, the deadline for restoring workforce and payroll numbers required by PPP and EIDL for loan forgiveness has been extended to December 31, 2020 (more info here.)
