Chris Hamer is an award-winning entrepreneur and business leader with 30-plus years of experience in technology, entertainment and marketing. He is the founder and CEO of CrowdFlik—an innovative mobile video synchronization app that revolutionizes the way people capture, share and interact with video captured from mobile devices. Hamer holds multiple patents, as he was granted a U.S. patent for his CrowdFlik invention in 2015 and was recently granted a patent in Canada.
Prior to CrowdFlik, Hamer served as senior vice president of marketing at the innovative music platform OurStage, and prior to that, he was senior vice president at Clear Channel’s in-house client development agency, Katz Marketing Solutions.
At Sony BMG Music, where Hamer was previously senior vice president of strategic marketing, he led the highly profitable group’s business developments and marketing efforts and drove the creation of global brand-enhancing partnerships with a multitude of top-tier advertisers across a wide variety of Sony artists and music.
At General Motors, Hamer was marketing director of OnStar. With the OnStar success at General Motors, he was appointed marketing director at Cadillac, leading all aspects of Cadillac marketing efforts, including media partnerships, film and music integration, and dealer group programs. As vice president of marketing at Priceline.com, Hamer led the digital marketing efforts complementing the highly successful radio and television campaigns.
Hamer is an adjunct professor of entrepreneurship and is currently serving as the Entrepreneur in Residence at Fairfield University’s Charles F. Dolan School of Business. Hamer holds a B.B.A. in marketing and finance from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.S. in business from The State University of New York at Albany.
