Rocky Hill, Conn. – March 20, 2017 – Glendowlyn Thames, Executive Director of CTNext, Connecticut’s go-to resource for entrepreneurial support, has been invited to participate as a speaker at the upcoming International Conference on Business Incubation, the global forum that connects entrepreneurial leaders from around the world. The event is the annual conference of the International Business Innovation Association (InBIA).
Glendowlyn’s panel, titled “Innovation Districts Outside Big Cities: Strategies for Suburbs, Rural and Small Places,” will examine how rural, suburban, and smaller areas can develop their own innovation districts to support local innovation communities. Glendowlyn will discuss CTNext’s Innovation Places program model and the strategies, challenges, and successes experienced in Connecticut.
Joining Glendowlyn on the panel will be Joe Maruscak, Chief Startup Officer and Director at RAIN Eugene, John Provo, Director of Economic Development at Virginia Tech and Catherine Renault, Principal and Owner of Innovation Policyworks, who will serve as moderator.
The hour-long panel discussion will take place at 4 p.m. on Monday, March 27, 2017, at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel in Seattle.
