Proposals to enhance collaboration and innovation among state’s higher education institutions can be submitted beginning March 4, 2019
Rocky Hill, Conn. – March 4, 2019 – CTNext, Connecticut’s go-to resource for entrepreneurial support, announced it is now seeking applications for its Higher Education Initiative. The program is designed to foster collaboration among institutions of higher education and strengthen institutional capacity as it relates to innovation and entrepreneurship.
CTNext has awarded more than $2.3 million in grant distributions to higher education programs under this initiative.
“The partnerships and programs formed through the Higher Education Innovation and Entrepreneurship Initiative have had considerable value,” said Glendowlyn Thames, Executive Director of CTNext. “We’re particularly proud of the opportunities they’ve created to give faculty and students invaluable learning experiences in entrepreneurship, opening doors to new ideas and possibilities. We’re excited to launch this fourth round, and to furthering the growing relationship between higher education and economic development in Connecticut.”
Successful higher education initiatives are those programs that support innovation and entrepreneurship. They also establish sustainable relationships and lasting partnerships among the state’s higher education institutions and create lasting value by increasing student attraction and retention, generating stronger alumni connections and expanding roles as economic and community anchors.
CTNext will begin accepting Information applications on March 4; the deadline for applications is March 29. For more information about CTNext’s Higher Education Initiative, please visit https://ctnext.com/higher-education/.
